Mr. Galvin's Glider Project
Students in Mr. Galvin's Technology class create Gliders based on a NASA Scientists design.  Mr. Galvin points out that careful measurement and engineering need to go into their work in order to maximize success of their flight.  During the project students learn the four forces of flight:  Thrust, Drag, Weight, and Lift.  Understanding these principles combined with precision in the building phase of the project allows the students to master/maximize the flight of their glider.  Galvin also added that they put a personal twist on their own glider giving the project added creativity.  Nice Job!!
