Students in Mrs. Formoza's class and students on team 6-6 at Ray Middle School were randomly assigned an Egypt topic. After
researching the topic using library books, websites and databases, each student
created a digital photostory as well as created a project (map, diorama,
recreation, costume, model, diagram, etc . . . ). In order to create the
digital photostory, students selected pictures to go along with their researched sub
topics and then orally narrated each picture. Students added the finishing
touches: title and bibliography page, music, and transitions from slide to
slide then students presented their creations in front of the class!

Twas the Night Before Xmas - NAO Robot
Mrs. Nahorney's 4th grade class participated in a summarization lesson of Twas the Night Before Christmas. It was excellent! Barb our NAO Robot introduced herself to the class, demonstrated the poem by acting it out, and then recited back the summaries of each stanza that the students wrote. The students were partnered up to summarize one of the stanzas in the poem. We then had the students type in their summaries, with the help of Mrs. Nahorney, into the Choregraph software that is used to program the Robot. The students were so excited and the learning was incredible.
