Google Hangouts

Use Google Hangouts to Connect with Others
Kathryn DeBarbieri and Gennaro D'agostino's  Participation in Government/Economics class used Google Hangout to connect to a Financial Planner at AXA.  Check it out for your Classroom!

Turn any Hangout into a live video call with up to 10 people or simply search for a contact to start a voice call from a computer, iPad, iPhone, or Android device.

Why (And How) Students Are Learning To Code

Read Me!

Time to make the Shift from Blackboard to Schoology!

What is Schoology? It's a learning management system that allows Teachers to create, manage, and share academic content via the internet. Similar to Blackboard and Edmodo. You are probably wondering, "why would I use Schoology, when I already use Blackboard, and/or Edmodo"?

Let me explain...
  • Schoology is user-friendly.
  • Schoology is partnering up with Schooltool in the future. This would streamline assignments, quiz grades, and tests from one platform to another.
  • Schoology offers accounts to school districts for a nominal fee - the login for Schoology would be the same as Schooltool and the School network. One username and password for all.
  • Blackboard users can export their account into Schoology.
  • Looks like facebook.
  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week access from any device.
  • Schoology is available as an App from iTunes for the iPad and iPhone. It's also available for Droid users from Google Play.
Check out the video below, this might be what you have been looking for to streamline your classes.
